DemandLab

Situation

DemandLab needed a short-term contract designer to create graphics for a large email marketing campaign.

Challenge

At the time, the company was fully remote and lacked onboarding, a knowledge base like Confluence, or a task tracking system like Jira.

They used an internal chat system, email, and phone calls to coordinate tasks.

They managed five WordPress installations. Three landing pages and two web sites.

Along with a Marketo account for their email marketing campaigns. (note: Adobe bought Marketo)

I was hired to create and update graphics for their main email marketing campaign.

Action

I worked with another team member to access all of their resources. She emailed me a list of the needed graphics, with examples. Then she showed me where to upload completed deliverables for the team.

I was also asked to update the graphics on a Wordpress landing page and to fix an marketing email layout in Marketo.

I used my computer and my copy of Photoshop CS6 to create all the requested graphics.

Result

After 3 months of work the email marketing campaign was a success. My contract ended and I looked for other opportunities.
